I'm starting to wonder if Windows 10 is still not allowing DTS and speaker fill for realtek drivers.īTW, the connection is audio jacks not optical. The media pack would contain DTS but it's only for the N/KN versions of Windows 10 but I did look at my windows features and saw media pack but there was no DTS only Windows Media Player. Upon doing some research I found that the "speaker fill" option under enhancements gives the 5.1 sound but that as well was missing then found something about build 1703 broke the feature to have DTS Connect but I have 1909. I've completely removed my audio drivers from device manager and uninstalled Realtek then installed the latest one r.82 but my DTS Connect is still missing and speakers are still producing 2.1.
This may require a new driver fix but like i said, Microsoft has often broken this themselves :) 4. Microsoft has broken this before, and fixed it on their end each time without requiring a new driver. Its only the DTS encoding that is broken. open DTS Sound and run 'SetupAPP', then open DTS Console and run 'SetupAPP' as well, and restart. The realtek driver functions fine for the most part. after installation go back to the acer website and install the zip files: DTS Utility (DTS Console) and DTS Utility (Sound) and extract.
Now, it's been a little over a year from today and I'm now noticing it's missingĪnd my speakers are only producing 2.1. go to acer website and install realtek audio driver (don't delete the folder later, you will need it) 2.
#Dts sound driver deleted for free
Before upgrading to Windows 10 I used to have DTS Connect on my Realtek HD Audio Manager then after the upgrade when you guys was pushing it out for free I still had DTS Connect.
